Forks Country Restaurant in Bedford

Breakfest is served all day (6am -2pm Monday -Saturday, 7am-2pm Sunday)I got it 2 egg scrambled with bacon, toast and homefried (square fried potatoes). Eggs are farm raise by a gentleman locally.Had a lot of food to choose from, must rotated it as whatever was marked for the day is what they had. Had the diner/table area then another sit down room.

Great southern comfort food. Service was good and bathrooms clean. They close at 2 so it is best to get there early . The customers are friendly too. At least half of the restaurant's customers spoke to us.

Food was awful. Sent the potatoes back twice, not cooked. They told me the fryer oil hadn't been changed for 2 days. Yuk!

This is a lovely country diner, stopped here on the way to Roanoke. Our server was very happy and cheerful with a lovely smile. Service was very good and so too the food. Would stop back here for sure.

Thought I already did a review. So - get the freaking oatmeal! It is the best. Food each day of my week long visit was consistent. Owner and staff are great! Good people.

Perfect place to stop after a morning hike!! Great service and great food and good for the budget (trust me, I’m a college student). The atmosphere was so homey and Jo, our waitress, was incredibly kind, helpful, and knew customers by name! Will be coming back again FOR SURE.

Love this place, it was as good or better than the last time I was there and that's been 20 years ago. It feels good going into a hometown restaurant that's still thriving.

Honestly was not going to eat there based on how it looked from the outside. But we were pleasantly surprised. All the food was great and fresh. It's country cooking and it's cheap and fresh. Friendly service.

Seriously...I cannot explain in words how amazing this meal was. Home cooked and tasty. Everything perfectly prepared. I am not from the area and am soooo glad this was one of the first options that populated when I searched "restaurants near me".

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday & they definitely did not disappoint!The chuckwagon steak, the club sandwich & the flounder were all delicious!We were a party of 3 & everyone loved what they ordered!They had Pepsi instead of Coke!!! Yay!We loved the cole slaw, biscuits & cornbread too!Don't let the outside of the building stop you from coming in!!It is a wonderful down home country style restaurant with great prices & huge portions!!Finally a place you get your money's worth!So if you're in the area and you're looking for a delicious breakfast or lunch as they close at 2 p.m., please don't hesitate to stop on in & sit a spell and enjoy great food with good prices an excellent customer service!! ❤️

We were looking for a place to eat in Bedford. Stopped here becausea lot people there thought it wouldbe a good place to eat. We orderedHamburger Steak. We got a smallround hamburger with gravy on top.mashed taters were good. Waitressfriendly but long wait on food. Portions were small for price. Wehaven't been back.

The food was good and the prices were great. The server was wonderful but the kitchen was slow.

2nd visit, too busy, out of sausage gravy and potatoes n onions @ 9:30. Waited 45 min for our breakfast. Good, however, was good.

Breakfasts are quite good there. Friendly staff, and quite clean. Our costs were $15.80 for 2 people included 1 drink. A bargin in todays restaurant competitiveness. Overall a pleasant experience. And one of the best breakfast places to go in the area.

I was a employee there until the COVID-19 and I love my job and the food is excellent fresh and made to order. They have a great staff who are very attentive and friendly to the customers. They have a great selection of different types of food and also homemade deserts

My husband and I have lived in Thaxton for 13 years, (and counting) but we had never eaten here. We were turned off by the look if the exterior. Shame on us! We've now had breakfast here and I was amazed! The eggs were SO fresh and the yolks a gorgeous yellow. The hash browns tasty and the bacon yummy! We also had fried taters with onions, a cheese omelet and coffee. All cooked perfectly! Fresh, very tasty and filling! The cost was around $15 for breakfast for 2 with all the trimmings and coffee. 👍🏼I'm gonna work on becoming a regular 😉
